Double Check This One Off The Bucket List

On Tuesday, October 29, 2019 I will be blessed to go to my second World Series game ever--This one Game 6 of the 2019 World Series between the Houston Astros vs. the Washington Nationals.  It was 2 years ago almost to the day when I got to mark a big one of the bucket list...as shown in the repeat post I published on October 27, 2017.

October 27, 2017:

My variation on a Harry Caray quip: "One of these days, as sure as the good Lord made green apples, I, a 50 year Houston Astros baseball fan, will attend a World Series game involving the Houston Astros."  

That day has arrived as on this day, October 27, 2017, I will be at Minute Maid Park for game 3 of the 2017 World Series between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the series being tied 1-1.   How sweet it is!

Mark a big one off my bucket list!

It will be the Dodgers' Yu Darvish vs. Astros' Lance McCullers, Jr. on the mound

This was opening day at Minute Maid Park for the 2017 historic Astros season

Update:  The Astros won this key game 3 of the World Series 5-3 and went on to win the World Series Championship in 7 games over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Update-October 29, 2019:  Today I will once again be going to a World Series game to watch my Astros play the Nationals in Game 6, with the Astros up 3 games to 2.  I guess I can say I am double checking this one off the bucket list.  :-)
