Acting FBI Director Contradicts WH On One of The Reasons Comey Was Fired

Yesterday, May 10, 2017 at the White House Press Briefing, WH spokesman, Sarah Huchabee Sanders said that one of the main reasons that FBI Director James Comey had to be fired was that much of the rank and file of the FBI had lost confidence in Comey.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was definitive that this was the main reason James Comey was fired as she related to Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night on the Fox News Channel:

Today at the Senate Intelligence hearings, the acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe was asked directly, by Senator Martin Heinrich, D-NM, if that was true that the rank and file had lost confidence in Comey.  McCabe completely contradicted the White House assertion by saying "no sir, that is not accurate".

Andrew McCabe testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee on May 11, 2017:

Now the question, who do you believe?  The White House [as delivered by presidential spokesman, Sarah Huckabee Sanders] or the acting FBI Director, previous Deputy Director, and a member of the FBI for 21 years, Andrew McCabe?

Of course, that is an obvious rhetorical question.

Hmm, it gets "curiouser and curiouser", cried Alice.
