RJC Urges Swift Confirmation Of Nikki Haley As UN Ambassador

I always look forward to my Republican Jewish Coalition newsletter and I loved today's [Jan. 19, 2017] first article it had in a strong recommendation for quick confirmation by the US Senate of Gov Nikki Haley, R-SC, as the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations.

The RJC Newsletter referenced a Fox News story where Nikki Haley blasted the United Nations: "Nowhere has the U.N.’s failure been more consistent and more outrageous than in its bias against our close ally Israel,” Haley said.  She added: “I will not go to New York and abstain when the U.N. seeks to create an international environment that encourages boycotts of Israel. I will never abstain when the United Nations takes any action that comes in direct conflict with the interests and values of the United States.

Governor Nikki Haley, R-SC, a great friend  of the Jewish state of Israel, and the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations

The newsletter then had a link to their website, the Republican Jewish Coalition, where they urged Swift Confirmation of Governor Haley: Matt Brooks, the RJC Executive Director, starts out in the statement: "Governor Haley’s testimony further confirms what we already know: Israel once again will have a friend in the United States."  Matt Brooks adds, "As the first governor to back anti-BDS legislation, Governor Haley has already shown her words are more than just empty rhetoric."

Matt Brooks concludes in the statement, which the Tales wholeheartedly agrees with: "The RJC is proud to support Governor Haley’s nomination as Ambassador to the U.N. and encourages a swift Senate confirmation."
