Obama Has Destroyed The One Historic Bi-Partisan Issue

In March of this year Tales published this article: Democrats, Don't Let Obama Destroy The One Bi-Partisan IssueI published this article without even mentioning the Iran nuclear deal, as I was worried Obama's actions, not even adding his deal with Iran that "threatens the very survival of the Jewish state" [words from Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer] looked like he was trying to destroy the bi-partisan support for Israel.

From that article, March, 2015
"There has been one bi-partisan issue, and maybe the only issue ever, that politicians from both parties have agreed on for decades.  That issue is total support and friendship for our ally Israel.  Democrats and Republicans alike, while at odds over many other big issues of the day, have showed strong support for the Jewish state, all the time.

God Bless America!   God Bless Israel!
With the presidency of Barack Obama, that bi-partisan support is being threatened.  I submit it is now up to the Democrats, especially Jewish Democrats, to make sure Israel remains a strong bi-partisan issue.

That's why it was disturbing when you had the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu here in America to speak to the congress of the United States, almost 60 Democrats boycotted the speech.  Imagine that.  Our best ally in the Middle East, and one of our best allies in the world and you had almost 60 Democrats boycott the Prime Minister of that country's speech.

Then you had the Obama administration clearly trying to influence the electorate in Israel to have them throw out the current prime minister and there was complete silence from the Democrats.  I heard many Republicans speak out against this tactic by the administration, but, and I stand to be corrected, never heard a word about this from one current Democrat congressman.  Would these same Democrats be quiet if George W. Bush was president and tried to interfere in Israel's elections.  I think not, I think they would have been outraged along with Republicans.

Then after Bibi's landslide victory in Israel, you have Obama throwing a temper tantrum denouncing Bibi by going out of his way to misrepresent what Benjamin Netanyahu said in the heat of the closing days of the election.

It also took Obama days before he would call up the Prime Minister to "congratulate" [or lecture] him.  PJ Media put it like this:  "Obama has been more kind to the dictators [and enemies of America] of the world than he has to the only Jewish state of Israel.

The article continued with an update on on March 24, 2105: "It gets even worse and worse.  The president's chief of staff, Robert McDonough, said to the anti-Israel J-Street group this disgusting untruth greeted with cheers: "An occupation [talking about Israel] that has lasted more than 50 years, must end."

Please tell me one Democrat who has come out to denounce this abhorrent lie about Israel.  More deafening silence.

I am a Republican and I would love to get more Jews to support the Republican Party, but not this way; not at the expense of Israel being hurt. That is why I am asking Democrats to stop your deafening silence and demand that this president's [and the administration's] childish animosity towards the Prime Minister and the state of Israel stop, immediately.  Let him know either he starts supporting the only democracy in the Middle East, one who is a true loyal friend of America, or he will lose your support."

I concluded the article with these words:
"Democrats as long as this president's animosity towards the Jewish state of Israel continues, you can't have it both ways.  You must make a choice.  You either support the president or you support Israel. Democrats, don't let Obama destroy the one historic bi-partisan issue, total support for the Jewish state of Israel."
Now today, September 2, 2015
the word has come out that two more senate Democrats have come out in favor of the Iran nuclear deal [meaning they now have 34 votes] ensuring they have enough votes to prevent the Senate from over-riding a presidential veto. So far only two senate Democrats, I repeat only 2 senate Democrats, Chuck Schumer, D-NY and Robert Menendez, D-NJ, have come out in opposition to the Iran deal.   All, I repeat, every single Republican senator and member of the congress has come out against the deal and in support of Israel. For the benefit of Pittsburgh Steeler fans [as Hugh Hewitt loves to say], that is 100% of Republicans who oppose this deal.

So, there is an overwhelming consensus of Republicans [100%] against supporting the president over Israel, and an overwhelming consensus of Democrats in supporting the president at the expense of Israel.

That means Barack Obama has succeeded in his goal [I believe] in dividing the congress [Democrats vs Republicans] on an issue of supreme importance to the state of Israel.

Yes, sadly I must say, Barack Obama has managed to destroy the one historic bi-partisan issue that this country has had for decades, total and unwavering support for the state of Israel.
