Obama Cuba Embassy Move Will Cost Hillary Florida And The Election

Today, July 1, 2015, President Obama announced that the "Stars and Stripes" would fly in the oppressive dictatorship of Cuba, as he announced the opening of the US Embassy in Cuba.  The first thing I thought of when I heard that announcement from Obama was that this will cost Hillary Clinton Florida in the 2016 presidential election.

It jarred my memory of another incident involving Cuba, that costs another Democrat the state of Florida and the election.  It was the Elian Gonzalez case that occurred in June of 2000, just before the 2000 presidential election.  In that case, it was president Bill Clinton, who by removing Elian Gonzalez from the Florida home of relatives he was staying at and sending him back to Cuba so enraged the Cuban-Americans in Florida, they voted en masse for George W. Bush to help him win in that razor thin vote the state of Florida and the presidency.

Bill Clinton having the "dangerous terrorist" 5 year old boy, Elian Gonzalez, removed from his "evil" Florida home to be sent back to the "benevolent" Cuban "democracy".

When I heard the president's remarks that "the Stars and Stripes" would fly in Havana, it made me sick to my stomach and I immediately wrote this on my Face Book page at around 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 1, 2015:

"Does anyone remember the Elian Gonzalez episode, when Bill Clinton in the middle of the night had the little boy Elian Gonzalez screaming and crying as armed border agents grabbed him from the family he was staying with in Florida to send him back to Cuba?  I predicted then, and I wish I had a blog at that time to prove it, that would help win the election in 2000 for George W Bush because the election would come down to Florida, and the Cuban Americans there would vote in mass for Bush and against VP Al Gore.

I must give myself a Wow, how prescient I was. I didn't realize the election would have to be sent to the US Supreme Court because the vote count was within hundreds, but I thought Florida would be close and it would give Bush the presidency.

I am predicting right now, this move today by Obama announcing the opening of the US Embassy in the oppressive, terror supporting dictatorship in Cuba will guarantee the Republican nominee [especially if it is Marco Rubio or Scott Walker or Jeb Bush] the state of Florida and the presidency in 2016!"

By the way, any odds on how long it will take our illustrious main stream media to ask Queen Hillary Clinton if she approves of this move?  Oh, Hillary, where do you stand?

UpdateOn my way to the Astros baseball game to watch them sweep the Royals, I heard Senator Ted Cruz make this great statement to Hugh Hewitt on the Hugh Hewitt show:  "How sad is it that we will have an embassy in Havana, before we have one in Jerusalem?"
