John Kerry - Remarks "Misinterpreted" |
So, the Secretary of State clarified his remarks that some had "misinterpreted." and all was forgiven. Now, will we soon hear John Kerry have to clarify some "misinterpreted" remarks taped when he was caught off camera that Chris Wallace on his Fox News Sunday show on the Fox News Channel pointed out.
Chris talked about how Secretary Kerry was giving many interviews that morning [Sunday] and in one of the interviews when they were off the air, one of his aides told him of an Israeli operation in Gaza where 14 Israeli's were shot or killed. Put yourself in Kerry's position...remember he is off the air. What if you heard that your friend Israel had 14 of their soldiers shot or killed? Wouldn't the normal friend of Israel react, "I'm sorry to hear that." or wouldn't you shake your head and say "that is sad news." Remember, you are off the air so you wouldn't have to give a diplomatic answer.
But this was not our Secretary of State's reaction. No, John Kerry seemed to ridicule the Israeli military operation by saying: "That's a hell of a pin point operation, that's a hell of a pin point operation." Then he talked about the need to get to Gaza as soon as possible to institute a cease fire. Thanks Mr. Secretary...what a friend of Israel you are.
Fox News Sunday: July 20, 2014:
So, now I guess I have misinterpreted Kerry's meaning that he was ridiculing/criticizing the Israel operation, and also misinterpreting when I thought he showed no sympathy to Israeli's who had just been shot in the operation. If I misinterpreted those things, then I apologize. If I did not misinterpret them, then I think it is the Secretary of State who needs to make another one of his clarifications. I am sure all will be forgiven again.
Sheesh, with friends like this...
