Happy Mother's Day!

Tales wishes all Moms a blessed,  Happy Mother's Day!

Along with my brother's Sandy, and Brad and my sister Susan I especially want to honor our Mom on this mother's day.  While our mom, "Reenie" passed on Christmas Day 2010, she is and will always be in our hearts.  I know when I am driving and for a fleeting moment want to pick up my I phone, I still hear my Mom's voice asking me to promise never to look at my phone in the car, even at a stop sign.  I immediately put the phone back down. Thanks, Mom.  As I have said before, my Mom was a special person-who was born on the 4th of July and died on Christmas Day.  She touched the hearts of so many.  My Mom was loved by all because she loved everyone.  You are with us forever, Mom.

Sandy, Susan, Brad and I wish you a Happy Mother's Day Reenie-We love you forever!

I'd also like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to another great Mom, my wonderful wife, Sheralyn.  In November of 1982 we were blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Ebony and Ebony was blessed to have such a great Mom as my wife Sheralyn.  Ebony has grown up to be a wonderful loving human being-a hard working woman with integrity and grace and I thank my wife and Ebony for that.  Along with Ebony, I wish a Happy Mother's Day to my wife, Sheralyn.

The weekends on Tales are reserved for classical music. So, on this Mother's Day, Sunday, I'd like to play what was my Mom's favorite piece: George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. My Mom, really loved this piece and she used to play the solo part on the piano.  While playing this piece in honor of my Mom on mother's day, this piece is also appropriate as it is one of my wife Sheralyn's favorite pieces [second only to Ravel's Bolero].

Please turn up the volume and enjoy my Mom's favorite piece on this Mother's Day!
