Terror On Christians Met With Silence By the World

In October of 2011 Tales did a post on the bigotry and violence against Christians [especially the Coptic Christians in Egypt] in the Middle East.  Now with the Islamists  gaining control in more and more of the Mid-East [coming out of the so-called "Arab Spring"] the bigotry, violence and terror against Christians in that part of the world seems to be intensifying.  This was noted in a story from the Christian Post:  "After the Arab Spring uprisings in Winter 2011, several radical Muslim groups that had remained subdued by former President Mubarak gained power and influence. Violence against Coptic Christians escalated in the form of church burnings and clashes with military personnel."

That statement has certainly proved to be true with the following stories [just a few of the stories of inhumane treatment Christians are receiving in the Muslim world].

From the Oct. 29, 2012 edition of the Telegraph in the UK there is this:
"Imagine the unspeakable fury that would erupt across the Islamic world if a Christian-led government in Khartoum had been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Sudanese Muslims over the past 30 years. Or if Christian gunmen were firebombing mosques in Iraq during Friday prayers. Or if Muslim girls in Indonesia had been abducted and beheaded on their way to school, because of their faith.
Such horrors are barely thinkable, of course. But they have all occurred in reverse, with Christians falling victim to Islamist aggression. Only two days ago, a suicide bomber crashed a jeep laden with explosives into a packed Catholic church in Kaduna, northern Nigeria, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 100."

On February 21, 2013 from Fox News we have this story:
"A group of Christian priests from a local Coptic church in Egypt were told to convert to Islam or face death, according to an Arabic news site.  The incident, which comes in the midst of continued persecution and pressure on Egypt’s Christian community, took place this week in the town of Safaga, near the Red Sea, the El Balad site reported.  According to El Balad, the threats are from a new group in Egypt, Jihad al-Kufr, whose name translates to Jihad against non-believers or non-Muslims. The group targets non-Muslims, and reportedly pressures them to convert to Islam.  “It’s not the first time. This is happening every day,” said Adel Guindy, president of Coptic Solidarity"

From the March 1, 2013 edition of Asia there is the story of two Coptic Christian children imprisoned for supposedly not respecting the Koran [I am not president Obama, so sorry I will not call it the Holy Koran]: "Cairo (AsiaNews) - Yet another case of violence and abuse against Coptic Christians. On 26 February, the Court of Bani Suef (Upper Egypt) dismissed the appeal of the families of the two children Rzik Nagy, aged 10, and Mina Farag, 9, accused of desecrating the Koran. They have been detained in a juvenile prison since April 2012."

In March 15, 2013 we have this story of Coptic Christians being tortured in Libya in the USA Today: "Dozens of Coptic Christians were tortured inside a detention center run by a powerful militia in eastern Libya, two of the recently released detainees told The Associated Press on Friday amid a wave of assaults targeting Christians in Benghazi and the latest instance of alleged abuse by Libyan security forces.   The two, among an estimated 50 Egyptian Christians who have been detained in Libya on suspicion of proselytizing, told of being rounded up in a market by gunmen who checked their right wrists for tattoos of crosses."

Think about that, a human being rounded up because he dares to have a symbol of a cross [a religious symbol] on him.  To think in the 21st century, a human being could face violence and torture for having a cross or maybe a star of David should curl the stomach of every human being, religious or not.

Now we have this story from Fox News, March 26, 2013
"Islamic hard-liners stormed a mosque in suburban Cairo, turning it into torture chamber for Christians who had been demonstrating against the ruling Muslim Brotherhood in the latest case of violent persecution that experts fear will only get worse."
"Such stories have become increasingly common as tensions between Egypt’s Muslims and Copts mount..."
We have bigotry and violence being perpetrated on Christians just because they are Christians and the world is silent.   Where is the outrage?   Where is the condemnation of the radical Muslims?  Where are the cries that this bigotry and violence must stop?

I am asking my fellow Jewish organizations who speak out against discrimination, like the ADL to please speak out loudly against this inhumanity being forced on a group of people for their "crime" of being a Christian.  If we do not speak out on behalf of our Christian brothers in their time of need, why would we deserve Christians to speak out on our behalf when we face bigotry and violence?  And I must note that there are millions of Christians that do speak out on behalf of Israel today.

May God watch over, protect and Bless the Christians in these Muslim nations that are facing this sickening inhumanity.
