Here is this blog's first prediction for 2012. The Iowa Caucuses. [not a hope, just as I see it shaking out]:
1. Mitt Romney 24%
2. Rick Santorum 22%
3. Ron Paul 17%
4. Rick Perry 16%
5. Newt Gingrich 13%
6. Michele Bachmann 8%
7. John Huntsman 0%
If this prediction is correct than you have three legitimate candidates that will be in the race for the long haul [which may not be a long haul]: Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry. I did not include Ron Paul as I do not consider him a legitimate/realistic nominee.
Also, if my prediction comes true it means that Ron Paul vastly under performed, and all the talk about his superior organization was overblown.
Confession: While I said this prediction was not my hope, the statement that Ron Paul will under perform is my hope.
