Unilateral action against public workers--oh, wait that's president Obama

In the Wisconsin governor Scott Walker vs public unions debate, Obama first jumped in on the unions side, big surprise about that. Check out my post The national showdown in Wisconsin
Today he says we should not denigrate or vilify the great public workers.

Am I missing something here or has everyone forgot about this:

WASHINGTON — President Obama on Monday [Nov. 29, 2010] announced a two-year pay freeze for civilian federal workers as he sought to address concerns over high annual deficits and appealed to Republicans to find a common approach to restoring the nation’s economic and fiscal health.
So, without any collective bargaining, any input from the federal workers, Obama, on his own,  freezes their pay for two years.      Wait a second, where were all the protests about denigrating federal workers, about them not having their God given right to collective bargain, about these poor public workers having to bear all of the sacrafice?   Hmmm, I did Google searches but I can't find the union protests calling the president Hitler, can't find the people of this country invading the halls of the senate in support of these federal workers,  can't find any poll showing how the people support these federal workers over the president and their right to bargain, can't find where Democrat senators have fled to Canadian hotels.   Do I need another search engine?  What is going on?

And folks do you realize that when Gov Scott Walker of Wisconsin wins his battle and reforms the public union powers in Wisconsin, those unions will still have more collective bargaining rights than Obama's federal workers.  The outrage on behalf of federal workers and against the tyrannical Obama from the other unions and Democrats and MSM....I'm not holding my breath.
