New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, this so called big intellectual all liberals marvel at, was on Meet the Press today. In line with the anti Israel sentiment of the New York Times, Friedman may have outdone himself with disgusting remarks regarding Israel. He was talking about the intransigence of dictator Mubarak of Egypt. How he has had real opportunities over the years to bring more democracy to Egypt under strength but blew those opportunities and is now acting under weakness.
Then he said: 'I hope Israel won't become the Hosni Mubarak of the peace process.'
So, I guess to Mr. Friedman it is all Israel's intransigence and unwillingness to take chances that has resulted in a lack of a peace treaty with the Palestinians. -- Mr. Friedman, you may be this giant intellect, now please get some common sense.
