Evil in Chicago

There have been too many sickening inhumane acts that have taken place these last few years, as one inhumane act is one too many. But the one that took place the other day in Chicago may be the sickest inhumane act of all, as it involved an 18 year old woman live streaming the torturing of a mentally challenged man by her and three other teens.  The four teens have been arrested.

This from CNN:  "A young woman who broadcast the beating and racial taunting of a man on Facebook Live has been arrested with three others in connection with the gruesome attack, Chicago police said Wednesday. [Jan. 4, 2017]

The disturbing 30-minute video shows a man tied up and his mouth covered, cowering in the corner of a room. His attackers laugh and shout "f*ck Donald Trump" and "f*ck white people" as they kick and punch him.
The video shows someone cutting into his scalp with a knife, leaving a visibly bald patch.
Police said the victim is an 18-year-old with special needs. Officers found the disoriented young man wandering a Chicago street "in crisis" Tuesday afternoon.
He was so traumatized that it took most of the night for him to calm down so he was able to talk to police, Capt. Steven Sesso said."
"Because the victim is white and the people in the video are black, police also are investigating whether hate crime charges are appropriate, Duffin said."
If this isn't ruled a hate crime, they may as just well end the category of hate crimes.  This was an act of pure hate and evil.
It is sick enough that four human beings could be so cruel to anyone, much less video tape it and laugh about their inhumanity, but as a parent of a special needs child [who we lost 3 1/2 years ago], for them to do this to an innocent special needs man is cruel beyond belief.
I pray for the victim and his family and hope justice is done for this evil act.

UPDATE:  Breaking news at 1:15 pm Jan. 5, 2017.  The four have all been charged with hate crimes.  Thank God.
