Explaining The Evangelical Support For Trump [SATIRE]

The reason I informed in the title that this is a satirical piece because, from past experience, I know I would be getting all kinds of comments on twitter of how can I believe this.   :-)

For full disclosure, I am not an Evangelical Christian.  In fact, I am not even a Christian, I am Jewish.  But maybe that allows me to step back from the trees to see the forest.

Many people are wondering how can much, if not a majority, of the evangelical vote be going to a person who would seem totally antithetical to the beliefs of an Evangelical Christian.

Let me try to explain.  Just like much of the rest of the GOP, evangelicals in the party are mad at what is going on in Washington, D.C.  They are mad at the Republican Party not seeming to stand strong for what they were elected for. They are mad at the "go along to get along" Republican establishment.

So, when someone who comes along who can stick it to the establishment elite, who can blame them for supporting that person.  When someone comes along who is not politically correct and who says what they mean and mean what they say, Evangelical Christians stand up and cheer.

Who cares that the person they support may be a vulgar, not very religious, demagogue [characteristics you would think be opposite of those of the religious right].  Who cares that this person seems to know little about the policies of the day and in fact does not seem to care about the issues that Evangelical Christians care about.  Who cares that the person is clueless on foreign policy/national security issues.

What counts is this person is strong in standing for their beliefs [even if not in line with the evangelical's beliefs] and in doing so in an in your face not politically correct way.  Who cares that this person may insult women, Mexicans, physically disabled people, war heroes, because this person says what they mean and mean what they say and they will stick it to the establishment

The fact that the establishment hates this person is good enough for a large portion of evangelicals.  That is why Evangelical Christians all around this nation will be saying with their votes, stuff it establishment elite.

Yes, that explains the evangelical's support for ... Madalyn Murray O'Hair.
She will stick it to the establishment - and that's good enough for us
That will teach the establishment not to mess with us.  We have our priorities.

... or maybe Evangelical Christians are saying, 'this is why we announce our support for "Oh...Hair".
