Felix The Melodic Cat

On this beautiful Sunday classical music weekend on the Tales I'd like to present one of my favorite romantic movements from one of my favorite composers, Felix Mendelssohn. The adagio movement from his second piano concerto in D minor.  I love both of Mendelssohn piano concertos, especially the first movement of his first piano concerto and the second movement of his second piano concerto.  Because Mendelssohn had one of the top, if not the top violin concertos, which is played often in concert halls, his great piano concertos are played less often.   In Mendelssohn's concerto in D minor there is no break before the first and second movements, with a bridge connecting the two movements. I have a video that does not contain the bridge so you get to hear the second movement from the start.

Please turn up the volume and enjoy some beautiful Mendelssohn!
