Soothing, Mesmerizing, Perfect

Tales on vacation, re-post from June 3, 2012:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, along with J.S. Bach and Ludwig Van Beethoven, are my favorite composers.  I have many favorites in the classical music realm, so I should revise that to say they are my top 3 favorites.

One of Mozart's greatest pieces is his wind serenade in B Flat Major, known as the Gran Partita.  The most recognized movement of the Gran Partita is the third, the adagio. This is mesmerizing, relaxing, beautiful music.

If this is the first time you have ever heard this piece, just listen how Mozart can begin a phrase with one wind instrument, and hand it off to another wind instrument [like Oboe to Clarinet] without missing a beat. The connection is so perfect, it is as if just one wind instrument is playing the whole phrase.

Can something be called the most perfect?  If so, I say this is one of  the most perfect pieces of music ever composed.  No man is perfect.  But God gave Mozart life and the talent to create this perfection.

I believe when God heard this piece played, he had a smile on his face.  His Mozart did good.

Please turn up the volume, sit back and enjoy this relaxing music.

From @CrabsodyinBlu. Big Mike, I really liked this piece. But what I liked even more was your obvious passion and reverence for the music. Your ode preceding the clip is beautiful and builds the anticipation. Thanks for sharing.
