Newt Gingrich's Amazing Admission

Newt Gingrich seems to be losing it.  First he complained that the NBC debate audience [last Monday night] was too quiet and that did not lend well to his debate performance.  He even suggested he might not participate in future debates unless audience participation was allowed.  So, when CNN allowed audience participation in the debate on last Thursday night, the crowd was loud and boisterous and seemed to respond so much better to Mitt Romney than Newt Gingrich.  Newt had, what most observers thought, his worst debate performance yet. He was listless and not ready for Romney's comebacks at him. So, who did Newt blame for his poor performance. The audience again. He said the CNN debate was stacked with Romney supporters and that they were too loud, not allowing him to think.

So, Newt blamed his last two poor debate performances on the audience.  They were too quiet....no, no they were too loud.

Now here is a more amazing statement from Newt Gingrich, made on Saturday, on why he had such poor debate performances last week.

This from The Hill.com: "Gingrich blasted Romney as "dishonest" for his performance at the final televised debate Thursday night. Asked if he was happy with his own showing, Gingrich replied "No," but then added: "You cannot debate someone who's dishonest. You just can't. People say I'm a good debater. I can't debate somebody who won't tell the truth."

Everyone knows how dishonest [down right lying] that Barack Obama will be in any presidential debates that will occur in the fall. So, look at Newt Gingrich's amazing admission. Gingrich is in effect saying that he will not be able to beat Obama in a debate. He meant his statement for Romney but you know this would apply to Obama.  Gingrich in his own words, once again: "You cannot debate someone who's dishonest. You just can't. People say I'm a good debater. I can't debate somebody who won't tell the truth."

I did a post on a reason why you shouldn't be for Newt Gingrich because you want to see Newt in a series of debates against Barack Obama.  That was before this astonishing admission on Newt's part. Now he is, in effect, agreeing with my post.

Update: On Fox News Sunday, Newt Gingrich acknowledged his poor debate performance and once again made the amazing statement that the reason was because Romney was so dishonest in the debate. He also said he still thinks he can win Florida but the reason he might not is because of Romney's dishonesty and also an avalanche of money against him. That is true about the large amount of money being spent, but what does Newt think would happen in a race against Obama if he won the GOP nomination.   I'll tell you what would happen. He would be facing dishonesty from the president and a billion dollar avalanche of money against him.  So, if Newt can't beat Romney in Florida because of those reasons, how could he possibly beat Obama, not just in Florida, but the rest of the nation?

Brilliant post big mike--- newt would be embarrased in an Obama debate as an immature , angry old man in contrast to the smooth cool and dishonest Obama-- Obama would light his fuse and his anger would end the election for many republican nominees as well as him-- newt is a cancer to the republican chances this fall-- the sooner the cancer is in remission, the better chance owe have!!
