Everyone is speculating how the Dems in the senate from 'red states' who are up for reelection in 2012 will be more inclined to vote with the GOP. I agree and hope that is true.
But what about those GOP senators from 'red states' up for reelection who could have serious primary opponents. Could they be even more conservative. We have a prime example in Orin Hatch, R-Utah. I like senator Hatch, definitely a conservative, but on some issues his 'can't we all get along' moderate tone rub conservatives the wrong way. Now we have this poll come out :
hat tip: the Hedgehog Report
One poll out this morning from Utah Policy and Exoro Group shows Republicans souring on their sitting US Senator Orrin Hatch.
US SENATE – UTAH – GOP PRIMARY (Utah Policy/Exoro)
John Huntsman 48%
Jason Chaffetz 23%
Orrin Hatch 21%
Could we be seeing an even stronger conservative in Orin Hatch in these next two years? We all saw the change in Sen John McCain, R-AZ...during the primary campaign and the year leading up to it.
"When are they going to build that dang fence?" said by an angry John McCain or one of the pods from the Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
